Tesla Expands Charging Network with New Supercharging Station at Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Tesla, the leading electric vehicle manufacturer, continues its commitment to revolutionize the charging experience for Tesla owners in Malaysia with the opening of its latest Supercharging station at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Since its launch in July 2024, Tesla has been steadfast in expanding its charging infrastructure to ensure seamless access to charging facilities across the country.

The newly inaugurated Supercharging station at Pavilion Bukit Jalil features 6 Superchargers and 2 Destination Chargers, adding to Tesla’s growing network in Malaysia. With a total of 6 Supercharging stations and 6 Destination Charging stations spread across major cities, Tesla now offers a comprehensive charging solution with 30 Superchargers and 25 Destination Chargers available to Tesla owners.

Equipped with peak charging efficiency of 250kW, the Superchargers at Pavilion Bukit Jalil can recharge a Model 3 up to 282km of range in just 15 minutes. This rapid charging capability allows for convenient long-distance travel, enabling drivers to make multiple round trips between Tesla Experience Centre Cyberjaya and Pavilion Bukit Jalil effortlessly.

The integration of Tesla vehicles with the Tesla mobile app further enhances the charging experience, enabling owners to navigate to the nearest charging station, precondition the vehicle battery, and monitor charging status in real-time. Features like charger availability, payment options, and technical support are also accessible through the app, ensuring a fast and hassle-free charging experience.

The Pavilion Bukit Jalil Supercharging station, located at B1 car park, operates 24 hours a day, offering competitive rates for both weekdays and weekends. The car park rates range from RM2.00 for the first 2 hours on weekdays to RM3.00 for the first hour on weekends and public holidays, with a maximum daily charge capped at RM15.00.

For Supercharging, the rate is RM1.25 per kWh, with an idle fee of up to RM4.00 per minute when the station is fully occupied. These transparent and competitive pricing structures aim to provide Tesla owners with an affordable and convenient charging solution as they embrace sustainable transportation options.
