Mitsubishi Motors Achieves 27% Sales Growth for Financial Year 2022, Selling a Record High of 24,315 Units in Malaysia
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has achieved a 27% increase in sales growth for Financial Year 2022, selling a record high of 24,315 units, the highest since its inception in 2005. The company’s market share is 3.2%, keeping it in the top three spots in non-national automotive sales.
The Mitsubishi XPANDER is the most popular non-national MPV, with a sales growth of 52.2%, contributing 57% to the company’s total sales. The Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck also achieved a remarkable 12% growth in sales.
MMM’s CEO, Shinya Ikeda, attributes the success to the Triton and XPANDER, saying they have been a catalyst for sales growth in FY22. He also states that the company will continue to focus on improving customer purchase and service experience to meet evolving customer needs.

On the global front, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation recently premiered the Mitsubishi XRT, the concept car of the all-new Triton, and Team Mitsubishi Ralliart plans to compete with a prototype cross-country model of the all-new Triton in the upcoming Asia Cross Country Rally 2023.
