2024 Mini Electric caught without Camo

Photographers caught the yet to be launched the model year 2024 Mini wearing nto even a bit of tape over the badges in Los Angeles, apaprently taking part in some video shoot.

The car bears a yellow S badge which suggests that it could be an electric version of the new mini.

Rear badging says this is a Cooper S and if you take a look under the bumper, there are no exhaust pipes, which probably confirms that this Mini draws juice from lithium packs.

The new mini sports cleaner lines with the windscreen leaning back a bit more with each new generation but it does keep the high beltline and stubby rear that helped define the style of the original Issigonis sketch.

The face gets a more slanted and larger oval headlamps with twin lightbars while the mini grille is now more prominently framed and goes all the way to the chin.

In profile, we can see that the new car wears noticeably less jewelry than before and for the better, although this may be contentious among Mini enthusiasts quite familiar and attracted the the bling and flair of the current version.

Moving rearwards, we can see that the designers still like the strong shoulder of the original but this time they have taken a bold move, as much as anything that is retromodern can be described as bold, and changed the shape of the rear ombination light into a sort of arrow shape.

the wto rear lamps are connected by a black bar that hosts the variant badging while the mini logo sits top and centre.

At first impression, this car doesn’t seem to photograph as well as the current model but that could be due to the low res nature of these spyshots that is carried by motor.1, you can read their original article here.

Now that the mini is in her birthday suit, the announcements should be in the mail not too long in the future.
